Who You Will Talk To

Blockedtons Floor Coating does not do the work. After you send a request, an independent provider in our network contacts you. That provider is a separate business. It quotes the job, sets the schedule and does the coating.

What the Provider May Ask

Expect a few short questions. Have answers ready.

  • Where is the floor: garage, basement, porch or shop?
  • About how many square feet?
  • Is there an old coating, cracks, oil stains or pitting?
  • Has the slab ever been damp or flooded?
  • When would you like the work done?

Photos before estimates save time. Take wide shots and close-ups of problem spots. Add a note with the date and any measurements.

Questions to Put to a Provider

Use this list. Write down the answers.

  • How will you prep the slab? Grinding or shot blasting?
  • Will you test for moisture? What happens if the reading is high?
  • Which product do you suggest, and why?
  • How many coats, and how long is the cure time before cars or foot traffic?
  • How do weather and temperature affect the schedule?
  • What does the written quote include?
  • What warranty do you offer, and what does it cover?
  • Do you carry license and insurance? Can you show proof?

Keep the quotes, photos and notes together. They make estimates easy to compare. They also help if you ever discuss damage with your insurer.

The Decision Is Yours

You can ask questions, compare quotes or walk away. There is no obligation. Cure time counts, so do not rush a choice that depends on a damp or cold slab.
